Heartfelt Notions

HEARTS have universal appeal, no?  I can’t seem to stop making them…using wood, metal, block prints, leather, cloth… you name it!

HEARTS are our symbol of love, benevolence, connection with each other…personally, and within our world community.

Not only is it our most vital organ, but it suggests the bosom, one’s personality or disposition, affection, intellect, compassion, courage, ardor, our center…

We take things to HEART

 Learn things by HEART

We want to find out what’s at the HEART of the matter…

My dad and I made these wooden HEARTS together recently…what could be sweeter than that?

Love you , Daddy!

  1. I too LOVE hearts!! I have several 🙂 Thank you for stopping by my blog, which brought me to yours. I have enjoyed the few minutes I have spent here. Even chuckled a few times 🙂 So Nice to meet you!

  2. A most important part indeed! I like all your variations on the heart. I keep thinking of a felt heart and have been playing with heart designes for the front of my shrine-must get that finished soon!

  3. I love these so much–especially the orange one. And I love that your dad made those hearts with you! It’s exactly what you’re talking about here–connection and affection. I love it!

  4. How sweet that your Dad and you made some wooden hearts, that is “heartfelt” get it? 🙂 I think it’s wonderful to be able to spend time with your Dad like that. My Dad is no longer here but he would sometimes do crafts like making boards for marble games. I haven’t made hearts in such a long time. Great hearts, wonderful work. Have a super rest of the week.

  5. I LOVE the wooden hearts that you and your dad made!
