Post Studio Tour

I spent last Friday – Sunday doing the Mountain Artists’ Guild Studio Tour in Prescott, Arizona.

I joined up with 2 other artists at a friend’s studio.
All in all, we figured that about 150 people came by. The weather was pleasant, save the deluge late Saturday afternoon, and the proceeds were a solid OK.

There was a wonderful reprieve on Sunday afternoon when music friends decided to play some tunes on the back porch!

I don’t mean to whine, but I’m always flabergasted at how much work goes into doing a show and how tired I get with the push to have “enough” work done, the set-up away from home,  being “on” all day for 3 days, and then taking down and carting everything back home.

I was so wiped out on Friday night that I announced to my husband that we were having cereal for dinner and I commenced to being a couch potato for the duration.

Today I woke up, relieved that I finally didn’t need to rush into my studio and and get to work, as I have for most of the summer.

Mr. E and I are off to New Mexico in a couple of days for a bonafide vacation.

  1. To say you are prolific is an understatement. I just love your stuff and I can only imagine how much work it is to prepare for a show not in your own studio. Enjoy your NM vacation with your very handsome hubby.

  2. Glad the proceeds good and sorry you were so tired. Now it’s vacation time and I hope you enjoy yourself and do all the things you want to do. Take and have a great time.
