Ice Cream in Paradise

I was thinking about paradise and, of course, thought of Mexico.  One of my all-time favorite memories was going to the town of Delores Hidalgo, about an hour outside of San Miguel de Allende, and eating ice cream on the town square.  There were several stands set up, but we got ‘the scoop’ from our driver about which one was
el mejor…the best.

Customers were free to try any and all flavors, which included beer, cheese, tamerindo, and tequila ice creams, but my favorites were avocado and corn…notice the two scoops in the first picture.  I kid you not – they were awesomely delicious!

Delores Hidalgo has bizarre flavors of ice cream that you’ve most likely never heard of or thought about trying…but that just might knock your socks into Paradise!
