Resolution Haiku

Sedentary nights
Couch potato has no place
In my healthy life

This year I’ve decided to make a new resolution EACH month, and hopefully continue on with many of them.

In January, I vowed to drink my 8 glasses of water each day.  I’ve been about 95% successful, and it really wasn’t all that hard.  Cool…a good habit learned in the course of a month.

For February, my resolution is to exercise at least 5 days a week.
I belong to the local YMCA with its fabulous pool, tons of excellent classes, and state-of-the-art machines; I own several exercise CD’s; I have a bike, kayak, and a ping-pong table; and sometimes I accompany my husband, who walks a couple of miles each evening…but I still tend to only get moving about 3 times a week.

It seems to me that committing to a more serious exercise regimen will encourage other positive changes, as well.

This is HUGE for me…and I plan to rise to the challenge!

  10. What a good idea. You inspire me. So many changes happening to me. Why not a resolution a month. I’m following you to the exercise promise.

  11. Love the overgrown haiku, that will be one of the things on my resolution list, to have a lush garden again if water permits…

  12. Good luck with your intention of increasing your exercise–and congratulations on more water. Both are on my lists, too, but though I stretch each day, I only make it to the gym a few times a week.

  13. Good for you! What size lens to you use for your close-ups?

  14. Your “sedentary nights” seem to be exploding to bits! (At least that’s what the photo conveys!)
