April’s Ups and Downs

The best part of April was going to San Miguel de Allende with Rebecca’s group to celebrate  Mexico’s splendid displays during Holy Week.

The rest of the month was awfully crazy, due to some issues of a personal nature…and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to truly fulfill my April goal.  I am going to pardon myself due to the extenuating circumstances and continue on with May’s goal…

***I resolve to play the equivalent of 3 songs a day on my flute during the month of May***

I played clarinet from 4th to 10th grades, but only picked up the flute in my mid-forties.  I took maybe 6 or 8 lessons before my teacher announced that she’d be retiring…so after that, I just played a few waltzes now and again with my husband or select friends.
I’ve gotten very sloppy about practicing and plan to resolve this presently!

A musician friend always told me to just play 10 minutes a day, and see what happens…
I actually just went to play my three tunes and it turned into ten!
Brag, brag, brag!

Happy May Day, everyone!

  1. Happy May 1st. to you too. Beautiful pictures and I sure would love to hear you play the flute. I would love to learn to play the flute. Is there anything that makes it easy to play the flute? I’m curious.
