20th Annual Art Show!!!

Somewhere deep inside
Comes a mandate from my soul
Idle hands don’t fly!

This is the norm when I’m working steadily, getting ready for a show.

On Sunday, November 10th, my friend Von and I will participate in our
20th Annual Fine Arts Show and Sale
in her back yard.

We invite several artist friends to join us each year and have totally lucked out,
having decent to delightful weather for 18 of those  years.
The weather prediction for Sunday stands at 62*,
which delights me after initially seeing a prediction for 42* and rain!

If you’re in Prescott on Sunday, come by 206 S. Arizona Street (off East Gurley Street)
between 10-4.

There is always a music jam with our friends (around 1:00-2:00ish),
delicious refreshments,
and lots of great folks.
It’s a party…and now, a bonafide tradition!

  1. That’s a haiku I will remember……….
and a picture of soaring hands!

  2. Wonder-filled hands!

  3. There is joy in working hard!

  4. Best Regards

    much love…

  5. My hands look like that too. 🙂
    Have a beautiful Show!!

  6. Can’t make this one, but someday, I would love to hear the music and see the art. May I be so bold as to humbly say that I, too, have artwork displayed at a local Community Art Show here at our town’s public library, opening November 10th.

  7. Good luck! Have a wonderful day!

  8. Wonderful!!!! My best wishes for a successful show!!!

  9. yes please, let the music begin!!!

  10. I think its awesome that you and your artist friends put on your own fine art show. More artists should do that. I am really over the same ol, same ol big juried shows here, that cost an arm and a leg to enter and seldom show new art or ideas. And what?? You HAVE to have a white tent! Good luck with it. If I were there, I would certainly support you.

  11. Happy haiku, happy event and very happy looking women ~ lovely post ~ thanks, carol, xxx

  12. looks like so much fun Dawn!!!

I do hope you’ll participate in the Gratitude Quilt this year… information about what it is and how to participate can be found @ this link http://www.shinethedivinecreativityisaspiritualpractice.com/p/gratitude-quilt.html

If I already asked you and you sent me something, please forgive me for asking again. I’m trying to reach as many people as possible. I don’t use last names and so when I look at the quilt so far and see the same first name more than once I’m not certain if it was from you or someone else with the same name.

  13. How I wish I could be in Prescott tomorrow, but I will be there in spirit. So many artists there in your part of the world.

  14. It would be so lovely to be in Arizona seeing all of your altars in this show, Dawn. Wish I could be there!! Best of luck to you and your beautiful work.
